Jasmin Hurst, “Tanke”, installation and performance, 2012, Gråmølna/Trondheim Art museum
In 2012 for the M.F.A. Exhibition I made Gråmølna Trondheim Art museum into a green gas station. The work examines themes of capitalism, corruption and the welfare state. By putting the pump pistol to the ear you will hear it dripping while the taxameter runs. In the one pistol you will hear the sound of drops hitting a hot stone and in the other pistol of the second pump you will hear the last drop making a glass overflow. The same sounds you find visually inside in an elevator inside the building. The museum store was emptied and foiled green.
